Gary, Jake & Jonah
One Story Weddings was founded in 2017 and is based in Lake Forest, CA. We built the company around one principle: your wedding photos should feel like you, not like a portfolio piece.
Gary oversees our photography team — shooting weddings and directing photographers who have been part of the One Story family since the early days. Jake does the same on the video side, leading a close-knit group of videographers who know our style inside and out. Jonah runs post-production, making sure every gallery and film that leaves our studio meets the same standard.
When you book One Story, you're not getting a random contractor assigned to your date. You're getting a team that has worked together for years, shoots with a shared eye, and cares about the same things we do.

Our Orange County wedding photography collections start at $3,500. Most couples invest between $3,500–$6,500 depending on coverage hours, team size, and whether photography is bundled with videography.
Every collection includes full-resolution images with true-to-life editing, an engagement session, a mobile-friendly online gallery, a pre-wedding timeline consultation, and full coordination with your wedding planner.

Do you travel to all Orange County venues? Yes — we cover all of Orange County and Southern California with no travel fees within our service area. We also travel for destination weddings.
How far in advance should we book? Most couples book 6–12 months ahead. Spring, summer, and fall weekends fill up fastest — we recommend reaching out early if your date is during peak season.
What's your photography style? We shoot documentary-editorial wedding photography — real moments as they unfold, with gentle direction during portraits to make sure you look your best. Natural colors, honest expressions, no heavy filters.
Do you offer both photo and video? Yes. We're a full-service team offering wedding photography and videography from a single coordinated team. Bundling both services includes a discount.
What does the booking process look like? We start with a phone call or Zoom to make sure we're a great fit. Once you're ready, a 50% retainer secures your date. The remaining balance is due 14 days before your wedding.
