One Team. One Story. One Seamless Wedding Experience.

300+ weddings documented · 4.9 stars · WeddingWire Couples' Choice

Choosing both your wedding photographer and videographer shouldn't mean managing two different companies.

At One Story Weddings, photography and videography are created by one coordinated team that has worked together for years. We share the same timeline, communicate constantly throughout your wedding day, and create photographs and films that feel like they belong together.

The result: a smoother wedding day, better communication, consistent storytelling, and a wedding gallery and film that preserve your day with one unified creative vision.

Serving all of Orange County & Southern California

"From the very beginning they made sure to make us feel special and accommodated every request we had. They reached out multiple times beforehand and made us feel extremely prepared for our special day. The entire team was polite, professional and personable."— Kathryn, Orange County

One Team vs. Separate Vendor Teams

Book two separate vendors, and you're managing two different companies with different priorities, different communication styles, and different editing approaches — separate planning meetings, two timelines to reconcile, and a photographer and videographer who are often meeting each other for the first time on your wedding day.

Book One Story, and it's one coordinated team from start to finish: one planning process, one point of contact, one shared timeline, and one editing philosophy across your entire gallery and film. It's a team that's worked together for years, not two specialists coordinating for the first time on the most important day of your life.

Photography preserves moments. Videography preserves movement. Together, they preserve memory — not two versions of your wedding day, but one complete record of how it actually felt.

How Our Team Works Together

This is what "one team" actually looks like in practice — and it's not two people dividing up tasks.

Our photographers and videographers move through your day in sync, not in separate lanes. Everyone on our team understands what everyone else needs to capture a moment well, so we organize and move together without ever asking you to pause, wait, or repeat something for a second camera. There's no "hold on, let us get that again for video" — it's captured once, together, the way it actually happened.

That synergy is what creates a natural flow to your day instead of a series of stops and starts for different vendors. You're not managing two teams working around each other — you're moving through your wedding with one team that already knows how to work as a unit, so nothing about the day slows down to accommodate us.

That coordination is the actual product. Everything else on this page is really just describing what that looks like.

Who This Is Perfect For

Booking one team isn't the right call for every couple — but it's ideal if you:

  • Want the least stressful wedding day possible

  • Care about your photos and film feeling like one consistent story, not two

  • Value having a single point of contact through planning

  • Want one team that already knows your timeline, not two learning it separately

  • Prefer timeless, true-to-life editing across both photo and film

If that's you, check your date → and let's talk about what a combined collection looks like for your wedding.

Why One Team Changes Everything

No competing priorities on your wedding day. Two separate vendors means two people making independent decisions about positioning, timing, and when to ask for your attention. A unified team coordinates internally so you're never pulled in two directions.

Timeline management built in. We manage your day proactively — communicating with your planner, anticipating transitions, and making up time when things run behind. You stay present. We handle the logistics.

One editing philosophy across every deliverable. Your photography editing and film color grading follow the same true-to-life principles, so your gallery and your film feel like they came from the same wedding — because they did.

Save when you bundle. Booking photography and videography together saves you up to 10% compared to booking each service separately, on top of everything above.

Gary, Jake & Jonah

One Story Weddings was founded in 2017 and is based in Lake Forest, CA.

Gary — Photography Director. Gary oversees our photography team — directing and shooting alongside photographers who have been part of the One Story family since the early days.

Jake — Videography Director. Jake studied film production and brings a background in narrative commercial cinema to every wedding he shoots, leading our cinematography team with the same continuity Gary brings to photography.

Jonah — Post-Production Director. Jonah studied post-production with a specialty in audio design and mixed audio for major Hollywood studios early in his career, before bringing that same standard to every gallery and film that leaves our studio.

When you book One Story for both photo and video, you're not coordinating two vendors — you're working with one team that has spent years developing the creative chemistry and shared instincts that make your day feel effortless.

Frequently asked Questions

Should we book photography and videography together, or separately? If a smooth, low-stress wedding day and a consistent creative story across your gallery and film matter to you, booking one team removes the coordination burden entirely — one timeline, one point of contact, no two vendors negotiating who stands where. If you already have a photographer or videographer you love and just need the other service, that's fine too — we regularly book either service on its own and coordinate professionally with outside vendors.

‍ ‍

Is one company really better than two separate vendors? Better is relative to what you value. One team means consistent editing style, a shared timeline, and no risk of two vendors with different priorities competing for the same moment. Two specialists you've individually vetted can also produce excellent, if less coordinated, results. Most couples who've compared both tell us the coordination difference is bigger than they expected going in.

‍ ‍

How much does a combined photography and videography package cost in Orange County? Combined collections start at $7,900. Booking both services together saves you up to 10% compared to booking each separately — full pricing is available during your consultation.

‍ ‍

Can we customize a combined package? Yes — coverage hours, second shooters, drone footage, and film scope are all adjustable. We'll build your collection around your actual day during your consultation.

‍ ‍

Can we book photography only, or videography only? Yes, either service is available on its own. Most couples who start with one end up adding the other once they see the coordination and savings benefits of bundling.

‍ ‍

How many people are on our team on the wedding day? It depends on your collection, but a typical combined booking includes two photographers and two cinematographers working in coordination — not a rotating cast of freelancers.

‍ ‍

How do your photographers and videographers avoid getting in each other's shots? We don't think of it as staying out of each other's way — our team moves together, understanding what each person needs to capture the moment well, so nothing gets duplicated or repeated for a second camera. See how our team works together above.

‍ ‍

What is your editing style? We shoot and edit true-to-life — natural colors, authentic emotions, no heavy filters — across both photography and film, so your gallery and your film feel like they came from the same day.

‍ ‍

How far in advance should we book? Most couples book 9–12 months in advance. Peak season dates from April through October fill earliest — we recommend reaching out as soon as your venue and date are confirmed.

‍ ‍

Do you travel outside Orange County? Yes — we serve all of Southern California including Los Angeles, San Diego, Santa Barbara, and Temecula. Travel fees may apply for venues outside Orange County.
